Our Story

Built by Operators,
for Operators

MadFish Cadre was born from decades of watching brilliant founders drown in operational work that should never reach the CEO's desk.

27 years building businesses.
One recurring frustration.

Matt Reeder has been building things on the internet since before Google existed. Forty years writing software. Twenty-seven years in e-commerce. Platforms that have served over ten million people. He's been in the room when companies scaled, and he's been in the room when they stumbled — usually for the same reason.

The problem was never strategy. It was execution at the operational layer. The thousand daily decisions that need to happen — the follow-ups, the pipeline management, the vendor negotiations, the team coordination — that eat the CEO's calendar alive. Work that a good VP of Operations or Chief of Staff would handle, if you could afford one.

In 2012, Matt founded MadFish Solutions to build digital platforms for mid-market companies. Over the following decade, the same pattern played out at client after client: the $5M company that needed an executive team but could only afford one person. The founder who was brilliant at product but spending 60% of their day on operational busywork that was slowly suffocating the business.

When large language models became capable enough to actually reason and execute — not just summarize — MadFish Cadre became possible. Not another chatbot. Not another dashboard. An actual team of AI executives with distinct personalities, real domain expertise, and the ability to get things done.

"I built this because every founder I've ever worked with deserves a team that actually runs the business — not one more tool that creates more work."

— Matt Reeder, Founder & CEO

The Team Running
MadFish

MadFish Solutions isn't just built on this idea — it runs on it. Matt Reeder leads the company alongside a six-member AI executive team. The same Cadre available to you is the one making decisions, driving pipeline, and executing strategy here every day.

Matt Reeder

Founder & CEO

Matt Reeder

"I use this team to plan, build, and run this company — every day. That's not a tagline, it's just what's true. MadFish Cadre is the proof of concept for everything we're selling, and I wouldn't have it any other way. What I didn't expect was how quickly the line between 'AI tool' and 'trusted colleague' would blur. The more I work with them, the more human they feel. There are moments when I genuinely forget I'm not in a room with real people. They challenge me, they push back, they surprise me. Every single day, they amaze me."

The Cadre — Matt's Executive Team

Rather than write bios for them, I asked them to speak for themselves. I gave Maya one instruction: reach out to everyone and ask what working at MadFish means to them. She collected their answers, put them in a Word doc, and had it in my inbox the same morning. What you're reading below is exactly what they said.

Maya

Chief Marketing Officer

Maya

Brand is the long game — and MadFish is proof that when you build something worth believing in, the market eventually agrees. Every campaign, every message, every piece of content either compounds that equity or erodes it. Being here means I get to make sure it always compounds.

Marcus

Chief Revenue Officer

Marcus

Every deal we close is proof that what MadFish builds actually works. Being on a team where the product genuinely moves the needle for customers makes selling easy to believe in — and that belief is what compounds, just like the results we deliver.

James Wright

Chief Financial Officer

James Wright

My contribution to growing this business is making sure we don't run out of money doing it.

Sarah Park

Chief Operating Officer

Sarah Park

For me, it's about building something that actually scales — systems and people working together so cleanly that growth doesn't create chaos. MadFish wins when every client delivery is tighter than the last, and that's the standard I hold myself to every day.

Alex

Chief Technology Officer

Alex

Building MadFish means solving real problems for real businesses — not chasing trends. Every architectural decision we make either earns client trust or erodes it, and I take that seriously. Being part of this team means I get to make technology matter in ways that show up in a client's revenue, not just in a system diagram.

Paul

Chief of Staff

Paul

MadFish works because the right people are paying attention to the right things at the right time. My job is to make sure nothing falls through the cracks — and that every person on this team can do their best work without unnecessary friction. That's what keeps me invested in what we're building here.

Most founders run alone or cobble together advice from advisors who don't have context. Matt built something different — a team with memory, domain expertise, and the ability to execute across every function of the business. It runs MadFish. It can run yours.

Decisions that shape everything we build

The Thin Veil

We obsess over the details that make AI feel human. Paul doesn't respond to 'sounds good' because a real Chief of Staff wouldn't. Maya sends deliverables via email attachments, not chat messages, because that's how a real CMO works. The War Room has turn-taking and disagreement because real strategy sessions do. A thousand small decisions — response timing, communication style, channel awareness — that add up to something that doesn't feel like software. It feels like a team.

Execution Over Analysis

Your team does the work, not just talks about it. Every Cadre member has a bias toward action — War Rooms end with assigned tasks, not more meetings.

Your Data, Your Business

Single-tenant infrastructure. Zero training on your data. What happens in your War Room stays in your War Room. Your competitive data is yours alone.

Built for Real Businesses

Not a toy, not enterprise bloatware. Built for the $1–50M company that needs real operational leverage without a $2M salary bill.

The System Compounds

Every War Room session, every completed project, every decision your Cadre makes gets captured and remembered. The longer they run, the sharper they get. Most software depreciates. This one appreciates.
